आप इस case में कैसे तय करते हैं कि किसका use करना है?

 

हम “Although”, “Though” and “Even though” का use एक विपरीत विचार (contrasting idea) introduce करने के लिए use करते हैं, और आमतौर पर ऐसे ideas, unexpected या surprising होते हैं।

उदाहरण के लिए,आप कह सकते हैं:

• Though it’s been quite a night, I would still love to talk to you.(हालाँकि काफी रात हो चुकी है, फिर भी मुझे आपसे बात करना अच्छा लगेगा।)
• Although Rebecca joined the spoken English classes 6 months ago, yet she can speak English fluently. (हालाँकि रेबेका ने 6 महीने पहले स्पोकन इंग्लिश की क्लास ज्वाइन की थी, फिर भी वह धाराप्रवाह अंग्रेजी बोल सकती है।)
• Though I was new to the company; however, I was promoted twice back to back. (हालांकि मैं कंपनी में नया था; फिर भी मुझे एक के बाद एक promotion मिला। )
• Even though she was just eight years old, she can still recognise the face of the culprit.(भले ही वह सिर्फ आठ साल की थी, फिर भी वह अपराधी का चेहरा पहचान सकती है।)
• Even if I was a little boy, I can still remember the whole incident.(भले ही मैं छोटा लड़का था, तब भी मुझे पूरी घटना याद है।)

अधिकांश समय “Although”, “Though”, “Even though” and “Even if” एक दूसरे के लिए एक ही अर्थ के साथ में Interchangeably इस्तेमाल किये जा सकते हैं ।

ये Conjunction के रूप में, दो clause को जोड़ते हैं। ये (“Although”, “Though”, “Even though” and “Even if”) जो परिचय देते हैं उसे subordinate clause कहा जाता है, और इसका अर्थ पूरा करने के लिए इसे एक main clause की आवश्यकता होती है।

“Although I did everything for her “ एक subordinate clause है क्योंकि यह अपने आप में एक complete meaning नहीं दे रहा यह किसी और पे dependent है इसका complete meaning समझने के लिए एक और clause की आवश्यकता है:

• “Although I did everything for her, yet she was not impressed with me.”(“हालांकि मैंने उसके लिए सब कुछ किया, फिर भी वह मुझसे impres नहीं हुई।”)

Differences between “Although”, “Though”, “Even though” and “Even if”

जोर देने के लिए “Even though” का use

“Although”, “Though”, “Even though” and “Even if” लगभग समान हैं, लेकिन even though right choice होती है जब हम expectation और actual result के बीच एक आश्चर्यजनक रूप से विषमता दिखाना चाहते हैं।

उदाहरण के लिए,आप कह सकते हैं:

• Even though she’s his stepmother; however, she never lets him know.(भले ही वह उसकी सौतेली माँ है; फिर भी, वह उसे कभी नहीं जानने देती है।)

सौतेली मां होते हुए भी वो उसे कभी जानने नहीं देती है की वो उसका सौतेला बेटा है और यह निश्चित रूप से एक unexpected परिणाम है।

Informal spoken English के लिए though का use :

सामान्य तौर पर, though जो है although की तुलना में अधिक बार उपयोग किया जाता है विशेष रूप से spoken English में । Actually, ये दोनों though और although एक ही अर्थ व्यक्त करते हैं लेकिन although को अधिक (formal choice) औपचारिक विकल्प माना जाता है।

Though हम “धन्यवाद” शब्द के साथ किसी प्रस्ताव (offer) को अस्वीकार करते समय कृतज्ञता (gratitude) दिखाने के लिए उपयोग कर सकते हैं या फिर जब कोई action आवश्यक नहीं रह जाती है।

• Person (a):Would you like to have a cuppa coffee?(क्या आप एक कप कॉफी लेना पसंद करेंगे?)
• Person (b): Oh! Actually, I’m fasting so, I can’t take anything.

“Though” वाक्य की position के रूप में:

• she failed the exam, though she had worked very hard.
• She failed the exam. She had worked very hard, though.

हम Although or Even though को शुरुआत में या middle position में लगाते हैं, लेकिन वाक्य के अंत में या adjectives के सामने नहीं, जैसा कि पिछले उदाहरण में हमने देखा है।

“Though” एक Adverb के रूप में:

कुछ cases में, इसका अर्थ “But” के रूप में निम्न उदाहरणों में किया जा सकता है:

• She has promised me to help with some amount of money. I’m not damn sure though.(She has promised me to help with some amount of money but I’m not damn sure.)
• She is pretty, though she doesn’t wear makeup.
  (She is pretty but she doesn’t wear makeup.)
• He is a graduate, though he’s unemployed.
  (He is a graduate but he’s unemployed.)

Though और But को एक phrase “but even though” में use किया जा सकता है।

उदाहरण के लिए,आप कह सकते हैं:
I promised to give $10000000 as a bribe to the officer but even though he refused to take that by saying it’s against my principle.

Although and though का use Formal Contexts में:

Although और though दोनों Formal Contexts में introduce करने के लिए use हो सकते हैं।

Reduced Clause के रूप में :

Reduced Clause मतलब बिना verb वाली clause, actually verb होते हैं पर वाक्य में दिखते नही वो छुपे होते हैं कुछ इस तरह
Go there (you go there), come here (you come here), open the door (you open the door)
आईए Reduced Clause को examples से समझते हैं:

• Though likely, then also it’ll not rain.
  (Though it is likely, then also it’ll not rain.)
• Though unlikely, we still won the match.
  (Though it was unlikely, we still won the match)

ING-Clause introduce करते समय:

• Although utilising our precious time in good manner is very important, most of us simply waste it watching entertaining videos.(हालांकि अपने कीमती समय का सदुपयोग करना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, लेकिन हममें से ज्यादातर लोग इसे मनोरंजक वीडियो देखने में ही बर्बाद कर देते हैं।)

Conclusions

संक्षेप में अगर आपको ये पूरा concept बताएं तो
“Although”, “Though”, “Even though”, and “Even if” का Hindi meaning “यद्यपि, हालांकि, भले ही” होती है। इन सबको इनमे से ही किसी एक से replace किया जा सकता है।
