Unless

Unless का use किसी निश्चित घटना के घटित होने के कोई Clause का उल्लेख करने के लिए किया जाता है। Except और If एक ही connection हैं जैसे कि unless.

Derivation of “unless“

यह ‘onlesse’ शब्द से बना है, बाद में इसे बदलकर unless किया गया।

Unless का अर्थ है परिस्थिति में (under the circumstances), जिसका अर्थ है, यह एक चीज़ को दूसरे में से चुनने का विकल्प देना। यह एक condition word है क्योंकि यह दो चीजों के बीच चयन करने का विकल्प प्रदान करता है। Unless का use एक काम करते हुए किसी दूसरे काम में भी use कर पूरा कर लिया जा सकता हैं।

For E.g.

You cannot go to play unless you do your homework(आप खेलने नहीं जा सकते यदि आप अपना होमवर्क नहीं करेंगे)
We’ll not go to the party unless you wear the dress, I gave you last day.( हम पार्टी में नहीं जायेंगे यदि आप मेरी पिछले दिन दी हुयी ड्रेस को नहीं पहनते। )
The stain on your cloth wouldn’t be removed unless you wash it in a proper way.(आपके कपड़े पर लगे दाग नहीं हटेंगे यदि आप इसे ठीक से नहीं धोयेंगे। )

Unless एक conditional word है, जो situation या works को संभव बनाता है साथ ही यह एक conjunction भी है जो दो वाक्यों को जोड़ता है।

Unless- जब किसी विशेष स्थिति में कुछ सत्य या संभव हो

(When there’s something true or possible in a particular situation.)

For E.g.

You cannot pass the exam unless you put in an effort(आप परीक्षा पास नहीं कर सकते यदि आप प्रयास नहीं करेंगे।)
Unless you sing that song for me, can’t leave here.
Unless you do your homework, can’t sleep.

Unless- उन परिस्थितियों (circumstances) का उल्लेख करने के लिए, जो संभव नहीं हो सकता है।
For e.g.

You cannot travel to America unless you make a passport.
Unless the traffic is cleared, we cannot reach the station.
Unless you try to speak English on daily basis, you can never be an eloquent speaker.
Unless you get married, you cannot feel the condition of all husbands.
Unless you put in an effort, you won’t be able to make money.

Unless synonyms

Unless का use Present और Past tense के साथ होता है। इसे (unless) If और Except के जगह भी use किया जा सकता है।

Main differences between until and unless

Until एक time clause के साथ जबकी unless situational clause के साथ sentences में use करते हैं।

Until मतलब है एक निश्चित समय तक (up to a certain extent of time) वहीं, unless मतलब है एक निश्चित स्थिति तक (up to a certain situation)

Until का use किसी निश्चित भविष्य की घटना के होने के लिए समय के factors को निर्धारित करने के लिए किया जाता है जबकी unless का use किसी भविष्य की घटना के घटित होने के लिए किसी परिस्थिति के factors को पूरा करने के लिए किया जाता है।

Until ” till the time या till a point in time ” Phrases से कई जगह replace किया जा सकता है। जबकि unless ‘if’ और ‘except’ से कई जगह replace किया जा सकता है।

Until एक ऐसा शब्द है जो अनुक्रमिक घटनाओं (sequential events) को establish करता है जबकि unless में वाक्य में प्रयुक्त होने पर ऐसी property नहीं होती है।

Conclusions of until and unless

Until और unless से हम confuse हो जाते हैं इसके बावजूद की इन दोनों में कोई connection नहीं है। केवल एक ही चीज़ common है इनमे की ये दोनो एक conjunctive words (संयोजक शब्द) हैं । जब हम Until और unless का use करते हैं तब हमें कोई भी negative words नहीं use करना चाहिए जैसे; not, no, less and so on…
चूंकि दोनों नकारात्मक शब्द (negative words)हैं, इसलिए इसका प्रयोग सकारात्मक वाक्य (positive sentences) द्वारा किया जाना चाहिए।

Until का use किसी विशेष स्थिति (particular situation) के लिए समय निर्धारित करने के लिए किया जाता है और unless का use किसी घटना या चीजों को संभव बनाने के लिए किया जाता है। until एक विशेष समय तक समय-बाधित (time-constrained up to a particular time) है। If और unless का अलग-अलग अर्थ है लेकिन जब आप इसे वाक्य में उपयोग करते हैं तो यह वही अर्थ देता है और यह कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए शर्त (condition) लगाने जैसा है।
