Change The Way You Think : A Monk and A Leader

Once again I’ve brought a great story of A Monk and A Leader which would help you to change your eyes since most of us always try to judge each other by our own knowledge and understanding.

Paragraph:1

एक बार की बात है एक बहुत बड़ा नेता साधु के छोटे से आश्रम में गया क्योंकि उसने बहुत सुना था उस साधु के बारे में और उसके मन में आया कि मैं एक बार जाकर देखता हूं कि लोग इतनी तारीफ क्यों करते हैं उसकी ।जब वह उस आश्रम में गया तो वहां पर एक छोटा सा कमरा था जहां पर एक कालीन बिछा हुआ था वहां पर नीचे कुछ लोग बैठे हुए थे और साधु जी सामने बैठे हुए थे ।कुछ सवाल जवाब चल रहा था। तो जैसे ही वह वहां गया ,वह अकेला नहीं था उसके साथ चार बॉडीगार्ड भी थे, और उसकी एक आदत थी कि जहां पर भी वह जाता था लोग अपनी जगह से खड़े हो जाते थे ,उसकी तरफ देखते थे, हाथ जोड़ते थे, और अपना सर झुकाते थे, लेकिन यहां पर ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं हुआ।

Once upon a time, a powerful leader went to the hermitage of a monk because he had heard a lot about that monk and it came to his mind that I would go once to see why people praise him so much. When he went to the hermitage, there was a small room where a carpet was laid, some people were sitting down there and the monk was sitting in front. Some questions and answers were going on. So as soon as he went there, he was not alone, he had four bodyguards with him, and he had a habit that wherever he used to go people used to stand from their places, used to look at him, used to fold their hands, and used to bow down to him, but nothing like this happened there.

Paragraph:2

साधु ने उसकी तरफ देखा तक नहीं क्योंकि वह साधु किसी के सवाल का जवाब दे रहा था लेकिन नेता को इस बात पर गुस्सा आ गया नेता को लगा कि यह मेरी बेज्जती है तो उस नेता ने उस साधु की बात को बीच में ही काटते हुए थोड़ा गुस्से से कहा मैं आपसे कुछ कहना चाहता हूं साधु ने उसकी तरफ देखा और बोला आप थोड़ी देर रुक किए पहले मैं इनके सवाल का जवाब दे दूं उसके बाद में आपसे बात करूंगा तब तक अगर आप चाहें तो बैठ सकते हैं ।

The monk did not even look at him because the monk was answering someone’s question, but the leader got angry on this attitude, the leader felt that it was an insult to me, then the leader interrupted the talk of that monk in the middle and said angrily, I want to tell you something, the monk looked at him and said that wait for a while, first I would answer their questions, after that, I would talk to you till then if you want, you can sit.

Paragraph:3

बस साधु का इतना कहने की देर थी, नेता का चेहरा गुस्से से लाल हो गया और फिर उसने अपना सारा गुस्सा उस साधु पर निकाल दिया अभी तक वह नेता बहुत तमीज से बात कर रहा था मतलब आप आप कह कर बात कर रहा था पर अब वह तू तड़ाक पर उतर आया नेता ने उस साधु को कहा तुझे पता भी है मैं कौन हूं और तू किससे बात कर रहा है साधु ने उसकी तरफ देखा और कहा मुझे इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आप कौन हैं लेकिन आप जो कोई भी है अगर आप चाहते हैं कि मैं आपके सवाल का जवाब दूं या आपसे बात करूं तो आपका आपको कुछ देर रुकना होगा।

As soon as the monk said it, he lost his temper and jumped down his throat, so far the leader had been talking very politely to him as he was a monk but now he started degrading him and said to that monk, you even know who I am and whom you are talking to. The monk looked at him and said, I don’t care who you are but whoever you are if you want Whether I answer your question or talk to you, then you’d have to wait for a while.

Paragraph:4

साधु का ये कहते ही नेता गुस्से से पागल हो गया फ़िर वह जोर जोर से वहीं सबके सामने चीखने चिल्लाने लगा तुझे तेरी असली औकात दिखाऊंगा तूने मुझसे पंगा लेकर ठीक नहीं किया है तुझे पता भी है कि मैं तेरे बारे में क्या सोचता हूं साधु ने फिर से उसकी तरफ देखा और बड़े ही प्रेम से कहा मुझे इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आप मेरे बारे में क्या सोचते हैं आप जो चाहे वह मेरे बारे में सोच सकते हैं फिर उस नेता बोला कि तू चाहे सुनना चाहता है या नहीं लेकिन मैं तुझे बताऊंगा सबके सामने कि मैं तेरे बारे में क्या सोचता हूं।

The moment the monk said this, the leader went mad with anger, then he raised his voice and started screaming in front of everyone, I would show you your real status, you have not done right by messing with me, you even know what I think about you. The monk looked at him again and said affectionately, I don’t care what you think about me, you can think about me whatever you want, then that leader said whether you want to listen to or not, but I would tell you in front of everyone that I what the hell I think about you.

Paragraph:5

तू एक बहुत ही घटिया इंसान है तू कोई साधु नहीं है तू ढोंगी है तो पाखंडी है और यहां पर जितने भी लोग बैठे हैं उन सबको बेवकूफ बना रहा है तेरा बस एक ही मकसद है इन लोगों की जेब में जितना भी पैसा है वह सब तेरे पास में आ जाए तू अपने फायदे के लिए बस इन लोगों का इस्तेमाल कर रहा है और मैं तुझे अब नहीं छोड़ने वाला तेरा पर्दाफाश करके रहूंगा पूरी दुनिया के सामने लेकिन उसके इतना बोलने के बाद भी उस साधु ने के चेहरे पर हल्की सी मुस्कान बनी रही।

You are a very cheap person, you are not a monk, you are a dissimulator, you are a hypocrite and you are fooling all the people sitting here, your only purpose is to extract all the money these people have in their pockets. You are just using these people for your own interests and I would not leave you now and would expose you in front of the whole world, but even after saying so much, that monk remained a slight smile on his face.

Paragraph:6

यह देखकर वह और तिलमिला गया और उसने कहा अब बहुत हुआ अब मैं यहां 1 मिनट भी नहीं रुकने वाला लेकिन अभी भी तेरे पास में एक मौका है अगर तुम मुझसे माफी मांगनी हो या मुझसे कुछ कहना हो तो कह सकते हो इतना सब कुछ होने के बाद भी साधु बिल्कुल शांत था और उसके चेहरे पर एक मुस्कान थी ।चेहरे पर उस हल्की सी मुस्कान को रखते हुए उन्होंने हाथ जोड़कर कहा कि नेता जी मुझे आप से कोई गिला शिकवा नहीं है ।

Having seen it, he became more stunned and he said that enough has happened, now I am not going to stay here even for 1 minute but still, you have a chance if you want to apologize to me or tell me something, then you can say. Even after happening all this, the monk was completely calm and there was a smile on his face. Having kept that slight smile on his face, he folded his hands and said that leader I have no grievance against you.

Paragraph:7

मेरे मन में आपके लिए कोई भी गलत ख्याल नहीं है जो भी आपके आपने मेरे बारे में कहा वह आपकी अपनी सोच थी तो मुझे आप में कोई भी बुराई नजर नहीं आती आप तो मुझे बहुत ही भले इंसान लगते हैं और साधु के इतने कहते हैं नेताजी का दिमाग सातवें आसमान पर पहुंच गया उसका चेहरा पर एक अजीब सी खुशी थी क्योंकि उस साधु ने वही कहा जो बाकी सब लोग उस नेता को कहते हैं और वह खुशी खुशी उस आश्रम से अपने घर की तरफ चला गया और वह जाकर अपने पिताजी के साथ बैठ गए उसके पिताजी की आंखें बंद थी और वह ध्यान में था पूरी जिंदगी उन्होंने लोगों का सेवा करी और बदले में कुछ भी आशा नहीं किया।

I don’t have any malice for you, whatever you said about me was your own thinking, so I don’t see any evil in you, you seem to be a very good person and as soon as the monk said it the leader was on cloud nine, there was strange happiness on his face because that monk said the exact same thing what everyone else said to him and he happily went from that hermitage towards his home and sat just next to his father. His father’s eyes were closed and he was in meditation, he served the people his whole life and did not expect anything in return.

Paragraph:8 (Moral of the story)

थोड़ी देर बाद जब उन्होंने अपनी आंखें खोली और देखा अपने बेटे को अपने साथ बैठे हुए उनके बेटे के चेहरे पर आज एक अजीब सी खुशी थी जो आज से पहले उसने कभी नहीं देखा था फिर उसने एक-एक करके सब कुछ बताया कि आज क्या हुआ, किस तरह वह आश्रम गया वहां पर क्या हुआ उसने क्या कहा तो जब उसके पिताजी ने पूरी बात सुनी तो थोड़ा सा मुस्कुराते हुए मुस्कुराया और अपने बेटे को देख कर के बोले कि उन्होंने तुम्हारी तारीफ नहीं करी क्योंकि उन्होंने वह नहीं कहा जो तुम हो उन्होंने वह कहा जो वह खुद है और तुमने जो कुछ भी उनको कहा वह वह नहीं कहा जो वह वह है बल्कि तुमने वह कहा जो तुम खुद हो यही बात वेदों मैं भी कही गई है “यथा दृष्टि तथा सृष्टि” यह दुनिया तुम्हें वैसे नहीं दिखती जैसे कि यह दुनिया है ,दुनिया तुम्हें वैसे ही दिखती है जैसे तुम खुद हो जिसकी नजर जैसी है उसके लिए यह दुनिया वैसी ही है तो अगर तुम अपनी दुनिया को बदलना चाहते हो तो उसका सिर्फ एक ही तरीका है अपनी नजर को बदलो।

After a while when he opened his eyes and saw his son sitting next to him there was strange happiness on his son’s face which he had never seen before today then he (the son) told everything one by one what happened today, how he went to the hermitage, what happened there, and what he said so when his father listened to the whole thing he smiled a little and looking at his son said that he didn’t praise you because he didn’t say what you are, he said what he himself is and whatever you told him. You didn’t say what he was but you said what you were. The same thing has been said in the Vedas too, “यथा दृष्टि तथा सृष्टि” This world is not visible to you as it is. The world looks to you as you are, the world is the same for the one whose eyes are as it is, so if you want to change your world then there is only one way for that is to change your eyes.
