Negative sentences help you say what you DO NOT do.

They are very useful in daily conversation.

You do not live here.

You don’t live here.

He does not work.

He doesn’t work.

She does not like tea.

📌 Important Rule

He / She / It → Use “does not” (doesn’t)

I / You / We / They → Use “do not” (don’t)

⚠ Important: After does not or doesn’t, use the base verb.

Correct:

  • He doesn’t work ✔
  • She doesn’t like coffee ✔

Wrong:

  • He doesn’t works ✘
  • She doesn’t likes ✘
